Since the beginning of Clay's 20 years as a software engineer, he has gravitated to streamlining the developer experience. Developer tooling officially became his focus in 2011 after joining the Engineering Tools team at Netflix. There he helped create Spinnaker, an open source cloud deployment app widely used inside and outside of Netflix. Now at Pivotal, Clay is still contributing to Spinnaker with a new perspective. When Clay is not writing code or enjoying his family, he is probably wakeboarding or at Jiu Jitsu class.
